About us
Engineering Specialists, Inc.
A multi-disciplinary forensic engineering firm providing honest, independent evaluations for clients across the country for over 35 years.

Who we are
A trusted, independent partner in forensic engineering
Engineering Specialists, Inc. is an independent third party. We do not advocate; we establish what happened. Since 1991 our engineers and certified fire and explosion investigators have worked losses across the country, from single-family homes to industrial facilities, and our findings are written to hold up in claims and in court.
Engineering Specialists, Inc. operates a related forensic investigation practice, Clearline Forensics, which serves clients requiring specialized forensic consulting services.
Our staff includes:
- Civil Engineers
- Mechanical Engineers
- Electrical Engineers
- Structural Engineers
- Forensic Engineers
- Fire & Explosion Investigators

What we do
Clear, concise reports with expert technical analysis
We inspect the site, test in the lab, and document what the evidence shows. Fire investigations follow NFPA 921 and are led by NAFI-certified investigators; engineering conclusions are reached under the responsible charge of licensed professional engineers. Reports state what happened, why, and what it means for the claim, in language both a homeowner and opposing counsel can follow.
Findings are delivered the way you need them: quick verbal reports, short-form origin and cause reports, or comprehensive written evaluations with photos and diagrams.
Our services include:
- Forensic Evaluations
- Fire Investigations
- Product Failure Analysis
- Storm & Hail Evaluations
- Litigation Support
We find you the facts to help move your investigation, litigation, or claim forward.
Who we work with
Serving a broad range of clients nationwide
Engagements come to us from every side of a claim, and our findings read the same regardless of who retained us. We typically work with:
- Property Owners
- Appliance Manufacturers
- Retailers
- Attorneys
- Insurance Companies
