What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your computer or mobile device when you visit a website. This policy also covers "similar technologies" — including your browser's local storage and session storage — which we use in the same way. They help websites work efficiently, remember your preferences, and understand how the site is used.
Some are "session" technologies that clear when you close your browser or tab. Others are "persistent" and remain for a set period or until you delete them.
How we categorize what we use
Our Site uses Google Tag Manager with Google Consent Mode v2. Analytics and advertising technologies load in a denied-by-default state and only begin storing cookies on your device after you select "Accept" in our cookie banner. First-party marketing-attribution and testing storage is permitted until you opt out; if you decline (or your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal), we do not set it and we clear anything already stored this session. Strictly-necessary items are always active because the Site cannot function safely without them.
Strictly necessary
Required for the Site to work and to keep it secure. These are always active and do not require consent.
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| esi-consent-v1 | ESI (first-party, local storage) | Remembers your cookie choice so we don't ask again and can honor your preference. | Persistent (until you clear it) |
| cf_clearance / __cf_bm | Cloudflare | Cloudflare Turnstile — verifies that form submissions come from a real person and blocks spam and abuse. Set when you interact with a protected form. | Session – up to 30 minutes |
| __session, __client_uat | Clerk | Authenticates staff in the private administrative area (the /admin section only). Not set for ordinary visitors to the public Site. | Session |
Analytics — set only after you accept
We use Google Analytics (loaded through Google Tag Manager) to understand how visitors interact with our Site. Under Consent Mode, these cookies are not set unless you accept; if you decline, Google receives only aggregated, cookieless measurement pings and no analytics cookies are stored on your device.
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| _ga | Google Analytics | Distinguishes unique visitors by assigning a randomly generated identifier. | 2 years |
| _ga_* | Google Analytics | Maintains session state and distinguishes sessions for a specific property. | 2 years |
| _gid | Google Analytics | Distinguishes visitors within a 24-hour window. | 24 hours |
Advertising & call tracking — set only after you accept
We use CallRail to display a tracking phone number and attribute calls to the marketing source that drove them, and Google Ads (through Google Tag Manager) to measure ad conversions. Enabling these means we share certain online identifiers with Google and CallRail for advertising and measurement — see the "Your choices" section and our Privacy Policy to opt out. The CallRail script does not load, and none of these cookies are set, unless you accept. If you decline, the Site shows our standard phone number and works normally.
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| calltrk_* | CallRail | Keeps a consistent tracking phone number across your visit and records the referring source and landing page so a phone call can be attributed to the correct marketing channel. | Up to 1 year |
| _gcl_au | Google (Ads / Conversion Linker) | Stores and links ad-click information to measure conversions from Google Ads. | 90 days |
Marketing attribution & on-site testing — on unless you opt out
These first-party items help us understand which marketing efforts bring people to the Site and let us test improvements to our pages. They stay on your device only in your browser (local/session storage) and are never shared with advertising networks. We do not set them if you decline or if your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, and we delete any that already exist when you opt out.
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| esi-first-touch-v1 | Local storage (first-party) | Records the campaign parameters, referring URL, and landing page of your first visit, so an inquiry can be attributed to its marketing source. | Persistent (until you clear it or opt out) |
| esi-ab-visitor-v1 | Local storage (first-party) | A randomly generated identifier used to keep you in a consistent group during A/B tests of our pages. | Persistent (until you clear it or opt out) |
| esi-ab-active-v1, esi-ab-source, esi-ab-sent:* | Session storage (first-party) | Short-lived helpers that record which tests are running and which events have already been counted this session. | Session |
Your choices
When you first visit, our cookie banner lets you Accept or Decline analytics, advertising, and call-tracking cookies. Declining keeps only the strictly-necessary items above. You can change your decision at any time using the "Cookie Settings" link in the footer of every page, which re-opens the banner.
Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information
Because enabling advertising and call tracking involves sharing online identifiers with Google and CallRail, we provide a "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link in the footer of every page. Selecting it (or declining in the banner) opts you out of that sharing.
Global Privacy Control
We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. If your browser or extension sends a GPC signal, we automatically treat it as an opt-out: advertising and analytics stay off, the CallRail script does not load, and first-party attribution and testing storage is not set. Learn more at globalprivacycontrol.org.
Browser controls and Google Analytics opt-out
Most browsers also let you block or delete cookies through their settings:
You can also opt out of Google Analytics across all websites with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. Blocking strictly-necessary items may prevent forms from submitting.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
