On 4/3/2019 during the evening hours, a severe hail storm took place over Jackson County, OK and Childress County, TX causing widespread damage from 2.00″ and 1.75″ hailstones, respectively. This damage contributed to property losses county-wide, including damage to roof coverings and vehicles.

The Altus, OK city area was struck by hen egg sized hail at approximately 8:20 PM PM CST. The National Weather Service had issued a severe thunderstorm warning. The storms produced 60 mile per hour winds which drove the hail to severely impact residential dwellings and commercial buildings in the area

The Memphis, TX city area was struck by golf ball sized hail at approximately 6:14 PM CST. The National Weather Service had issued a severe thunderstorm warning.
