On 4/7/2019 at approximately 1:17 PM , a severe hail storm took place over Holmes County, MO causing widespread damage from 2.00″ hailstones. This damage contributed to property losses county-wide, including damage to roof coverings and vehicles.

The Lexington area was struck by hen egg sized hail in the early afternoon hours. The National Weather Service had issued no warnings. The storms produced high winds which drove the hail to severely impact residential dwellings and commercial buildings in the area.
