Storms tore through Atlanta, GA on April 5th, 2017. There were several reports of tornadoes and power outages across the state. Pouring rains, high winds, and hail up to baseball size were also noted. According to CBS News several activities and businesses were cancelled and the Federal Aviation Administration halted flights to Atlanta’s international airport. Stewart County Sheriff Office dispatcher stated no injuries or deaths have occurred.
Georgia ranked 29th for major hail events in 2016, according to the National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).
