On Tuesday, April 7, 2020 a widespread hailstorm occurred which majorly affected the Cedar Rapids, Iowa area. 68 hail reports were received, noting hail as large as 2.75″ and an average size of 1.53″. The storm also affected other nearby cities such as East Moline, Illinois and Davenport, Iowa. Hail claims have been pouring in because of the storm as property owners have taken note of the damage. There are an estimated 21,000 properties which have been impacted by 1.5″ hail or larger.
