That is the same construction that failed in 1935. Newer wood-framed housing now rings the historic core and climbs into the foothills and the Helena Valley wildland-urban interface, built for IECC zone 6B cold and roughly 42 inches of annual snow. Helena is in fact the Department of Energy's reference city for zone 6B.
