On 5/9/2019 at approximately 8:31 PM CST, a severe hail storm took place over Harris County, TX causing widespread damage from 2.50″ hailstones. This damage contributed to property losses county-wide, including damage to roof coverings and vehicles.
The Houston city area was struck by tennis ball sized hail in the evening hours. The National Weather Service had issued a severe thunderstorm warning. The storms produced 60 mile per hour winds which drove the hail to severely impact residential dwellings and commercial buildings in the area.
