On 11/8/2018 at approximately 4:32 AM CST, a severe hail storm took place over Hinds County, MS causing widespread damage from 1.00″ hailstones. This damage contributed in property losses county-wide, including damage to roof coverings and vehicles.

The Jackson, MS area was struck by quarter sized hail in the early morning hours. The National Weather Service had issued a severe thunderstorm warning. The storms produced strong winds which drove the storm east at 30 miles per hour and drove the hail to severely impact residential dwellings and commercial buildings in the area.
